    About the Blog

“The Panhandler’s Guide” is a weblog that chronicles the thoughts of three sons of the Florida Panhandle.  Through posts and discussions, the three authors plan to bring to light a number of issues that are important to Panhandle society, culture, history, economics, demographics, and life.  Some of these issues will be specific to northern Florida, others will speak more broadly about the “South,” and others will have greater national import.  These thoughts and conversations will all address the general idea of what it means to live in a specific region, and what that means to American life everywhere.  By maintaining an intellectually stimulating, yet informal and entertaining format, the goal of “The Panhandler’s Guide” is to discuss Panhandle issues in a way that is at once familiar to its citizens and accessible to everybody.
